No Naseem Shah for pakistan in World Cup 2023 : These two players get a chance...
With Naseem Shah unable to participate due to a shoulder injury, Pakistan announced their 2023 World Cup squad on Friday. The right-arm bowler Hasan Ali, who last participated in an ODI in June 2022, returned to the team to take Naseem's place. Haris Rauf, who suffered an injury during the Asia Cup, is still a member of the team. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam are both still in charge of the team.
Faheem Ashraf's absence was one of the biggest surprises, and the top selector said that the choice was taken with the bowling attack's middle-over strength in mind.
"We had trouble getting wickets in the middle overs at the Asia Cup, and we know that in order to win games in India, we will need to get wickets in the middle. So we chose bowlers who are capable of doing it." said Inzamam.
