*Can Pandya return to bat in Indian innings?
Nasser Hussain, a former England player who is now a World Cup commentator, stated on-air that Hardik will not be playing for India for the remainder of Bangladesh's batting innings. At the World Cup, former India captain Virat Kohli completed Pandya's over by rolling his arms for the first time in six years.

Sanjay Manjrekar, an on-air analyst, said: "He almost swung that inswinger as an off-spinner." Further discussing the game, Bangladesh scored 137-5 in 27.4 overs thanks to four wickets split by Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja. For Bangladesh against India, the openers Tanzid Hasan (51) and Litton Das (66) hit half-centuries. India's Team Rohit has won all three of its opening matches in the ICC World Cup.
